Maintenance Supervisor

Hourly Wage: $34.32

Position Summary

Our Maintenance Department at Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre is currently seeking a permanent full-time Maintenance Supervisor 1 to join our team. This position works Monday to Friday day shifts from 06:00 to 14:00 and requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, as responsibilities include providing services to multiple Interior Health facilities.

Your Role:
As a Maintenance Supervisor 1, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure. You will lead and support maintenance staff, coordinate daily work assignments, oversee preventative maintenance programs, and ensure repairs are completed in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and organizational standards.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will collaborate with departments to assess maintenance needs, coordinate projects, manage materials and supplies, and support the ongoing maintenance of building systems, vehicles, machinery, and specialized equipment. Drawing on your technical expertise across multiple trades, you will perform skilled maintenance and repair work on equipment such as sterilizers, washers, dryers, plumbing systems, motors, valves, bearings, and other facility assets, helping to create a safe and functional environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education plus five (5) years recent related experience including two years in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
