Department: Retasket Lodge and RV Park

Reports to: Economic Development CEO

Compensation:$60,000 Salary plus vehicle and accommodation

ABOUT US

Retasket Lodge and RV Park is a 20-room motel located in the T’ít’q’et Community in St’át’imc Nation. The Retasket Lodge also manages the 5 cabins located at Seton Lake. We are passionate about providing comfortable lodging and memorable experiences for those travelling to Lillooet, BC.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking to hire ideally a couple with experience in motel management and operations. The Motel Manager/s will be responsible for the total management of the Retasket Lodge and RV Park and the Seton Lake Cabins. The position includes accommodation and use of a reliable truck.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Retasket Motel and RV Park

• Resolve customer complaints

• Recruit and supervise staff and/or contractors, oversee training and set work schedules

• Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for the operation of the Motel, RV park, and cabins

• Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses

• Participate in the development of pricing and promotional strategies

• Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Excellent customer service experience

• Ability to oversee the financial management of the Retasket Lodge and Seton Cabins

• Computer competency (email, booking software, Microsoft programs)

• Experience with developing and implementing policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

• Legally able to work in Canada

• Certificate or training in hotel management or related discipline is an asset but not requirement

• Several years of experience in accommodation management is preferred
