Permanent Full Time Facility Operator II

Resumes are being accepted for the Permanent Full-Time position of Facility Operator II at the District of Lillooet REC Centre
Scope of Work
Works varies seasonally. Performs ice resurfacing operations; monitors all refrigeration, boiler and filtration plants; completes checks of various facility maintenance equipment. Carry out janitorial and general maintenance; set up and tear down for events; complete checks on facility maintenance equipment; maintains security of the property; assists the public in their use of the entire facility; performs other duties as required.
Rate of Pay
This is a Union position within CUPE Local 173. The current rate of pay is $28.51 per hour, including health and welfare benefits and pension as per the collective agreement.
Required Abilities and Skills
Ability to effectively carry out oral and written instructions and keep maintenance and service records; knowledge of standard methods and equipment used in building maintenance; must be capable of carrying out duties without direct supervision; must have sufficient strength and agility to perform required duties; proven ability to communicate and work effectively with co-workers and public.
