FISHERIES CATCH MONITORS
Two Temporary Positions Available Tentatively scheduled for end of July to September 2025.

The Bridge River Band requires Fisheries Monitors for the contracts for tagging, special projects, and monitoring.

Duties:

• Monitor Fishing Activities
• Participate in field monitoring and data entry activities
• Collect catch and effort data
• Collect sampling
• Interview fisherman
• Issue fishing permits
• Enforce compliance with rules and regulations of the Bridge River Fishing Rocks and report non-compliant fishers to the Chief and Council
• Report any illegal activities
• Record camp and fishing locations

Qualifications:

• Good physical health
• Outgoing and personable
• Sampling experience an asset
• OFA level 1 (higher, preferred)
• Transport Endorsement
• Swift Water Rescue
• Bear Aware
• Class 5 drivers license & Reliable Vehicle
• Training will be provided

Wage:$20.00 per hour
Hours: Varies due to shiftwork
