The Aboriginal Health Advocate works closely with Interior Health, the Ministry of Health and the northern St’át’imc communities to achieve the recommendations from the In Plain Sight Report, the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, and the goals outlined in the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA) Action Plan. The Advocate aligns with BC Patient Safety & Quality Council philosophies that support system-wide leadership to improve the quality of care provided by the Interior Health (IH) and other healthcare providers
