Aspen Planers Ltd., Lillooet Division is a producer of high-quality veneers for our specialty plywood operation. With quality veneer produced in our veneer plant, Savona Specialty Plywood is committed to producing panel products exceeding our customers' expectation.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the certified Industrial HD Mechanic is required to have experience in an industrial setting preferably with experience in forestry equipment such as log loaders, wheel loaders, Forklifts, and other mobile equipment. Experience or other trades certification such as millwrighting, welder or fabricator would be an asset.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively participate in a team environment. Demonstrated safe work habits are essential. Weekend shifting may be required subject to the production/maintenance schedule requirements of the operation. A valid BC Driver's license and reliable transportation is also required.

Aspen Planers offers wages as per the USW agreement. A generous benefit package is included after successful completion of probationary period. If you are entitled to be registered as an Indian under Bill C-3 (also known as the Gender Equity in Indian Registration Act, SC 2010, c.18), you may qualify for the section 87 tax exemption for property situated on a reserve. Proof of registration with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is required to claim the tax exemption.
