Description

St’át’ímc Government Services is seeking an On-Call Receptionist. 

The Receptionist/Office Assistant is the first point of contact for visitors and callers and provides professional, courteous, and efficient front-line service. This role supports the daily operations of the organization by delivering reception, administrative, and office coordination services while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring smooth internal processes.

Wage:  $20 / hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional front-line reception and customer service by greeting visitors, handling inquiries, and managing incoming calls.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including document preparation, correspondence distribution, and project support.
  • Coordinate mail and office operations such as handling deliveries, managing supplies, and ensuring equipment functionality.
  • Support meetings and events by scheduling, preparing materials, arranging logistics, and assisting with both in-person and virtual setups.

About You:

  • Grade 12 diploma required; Office Administration diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid BC Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation considered an asset
  • Ability to occasionally lift office supplies or equipment
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings or weekends as required
