About the Role
Talisker Resources is seeking a motivated and technically strong Underground Mining Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team at the Mustang Mine in Bralorne, British Columbia. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven early-career mining engineer to gain hands-on underground operational experience while contributing to the advancement of one of Western Canada’s most historic gold districts.
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer and working closely with Technical Services and Operations, the EIT will support short- and medium-range mine planning, ventilation management, ground control, and underground construction coordination. This role offers meaningful exposure to production readiness activities as Talisker advances toward sustained underground operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental stewardship, and teamwork.

Prepare short-range mine designs and development plans for lateral development and longhole stoping.

Generate and update weekly and monthly mine production schedules in coordination with operations and technical teams.

Support underground ventilation planning, modeling, monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

Assist in coordinating ventilation, dewatering, and underground infrastructure initiatives.

Conduct ground control QA/QC inspections under the guidance of senior engineers and ensure adherence to site-specific ground support standards.

Organize and communicate work directives for underground construction crews.

Collaborate with operations personnel to ensure mine plans are practical, safe, and executable.

Analyze production and operational data to support continuous improvement and mine optimization.

Prepare technical documentation including plans, schedules, reports, and regulatory submissions.

Participate in underground inspections and fieldwork on a regular basis.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited institution.

Eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).

Strong technical aptitude and understanding of underground mining methods.

Proficiency with mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, MineSight, AutoCAD, or similar) considered an asset.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Safety-focused mindset and physically able to work in underground environments.

Previous underground mining experience is an asset but not required.

Eligible to work in Canada.
Additional Details:
Location: On-site at our remote Bralorne Mine in Bralorne, BC
Job Type: Full-time, Regular Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off, 10 hours per day
Compensation Range: CA$75,000 – CA$105,000 per year (depending on experience)
