Salary: $20.50-$29.00 hourly to be negotiated for 30-40 hours per week

Education

• College/CEGEP
• Food preparation/professional cooking/kitchen assistant
• Food service, waiter/waitress and dining room management/manager
• Culinary arts and related services, other
• Foods, nutrition and related services, other
• Restaurant/food services management
• Hotel, motel, and restaurant management
• or equivalent experience

Tasks

• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
• Hire food service staff
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Prepare food order summaries for chef
• Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
• Establish work schedules
