DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:


The Cafeteria Worker, under the direction of the Principal, is required to coordinate and deliver a healthy meals program. The successful applicant is expected to:

  • Plan and produce food menus.

  • Prepare and serve food adhering to Ministry of Health regulations.

  • Be responsible for purchasing, inventory maintenance and proper storage of supplies.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and cleans all equipment.

  • Perform cashier duties.

  • Provide student training and supervision of students in preparation and serving of food.

  • Meet with sales representatives.

  • Prepare monthly schedules of student workers.

  • Display excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to students

  • Maintain safe work practices.

WAGE: $30.81 5hours/day (25 hours week)

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

  • Grade 10 or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a related field.

  • Working knowledge of health regulations and nutrition.

  • Food Safe certification, Level 1 or 2.

  • Physical capability to perform duties.
