Description

Child & Family Services Planner

Lillooet Tribal Council Program - Lillooet, British Columbia

Wage: $30.00-$35.00

PROJECT SUMMARY

The Lillooet Tribal Council (LTC) is seeking an individual with experience in community planning to conduct child & family services planning. LTC and Kanuk’wa7staliha Family Services (KFS) currently provide a range of services to children and families in the northern St’át’mc Territory. However, it is now time to plan to expand services to implement St’at’imc jurisdiction in this area. We envision the project will consist of three distinct themes:

1. Governance: explore the accountability relationships between a northern St’át’imc governing body and the communities its serves.

2. Service Delivery: engage the northern St’át’imc communities to determine what services the communities will deliver directly to their members, and what services are best delivered collectively – including researching best practices and service models.

3. Legal: support communities to draft child welfare laws based on their community priorities, values/principles, and readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in completing similar community-based planning, preferably in the health or social services sectors.

COMPENSATION

  • This position is full time (but we will consider part-time), includes a comprehensive benefit package and a wage range of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.

Apply: please submit resume and three professional references to Andrea Leech: ALeech@lillooettribalcouncil.ca

Any questions please contact: Andrea Leech at (250) 256-7523.

Pursuant to section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code, preference will be given to applicants of St’át’imc or Aboriginal ancestry.
