Full job description

The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for providing repairs and maintenance to various vehicles. This position will employ logic and deductive reasoning in diagnosing and troubleshooting in an independent environment.

• Assess work orders, diagnose faults and malfunction by examining the vehicle, using testing equipment, and carrying out test drives.
• Dismantle faulty assemblies and repair or replace worn or damaged parts.
• Reassemble, adjust and test new or repaired components.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
• Provide details about repairs so others understand what work has been done, on general vehicle conditions, and future repair requirements.
• Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards on a continuous basis.
• Contribute to safety and efficiency by participating in safety meetings and incident investigations.
• Help develop Automotive Technician apprentices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lillooet, BC: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)

Experience:

• Red Seal Mechanic: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Class 5 drivers license (preferred)
