JOB SUMMARY
The Cayoose Creek Band (CCB) is currently seeking an enthusiastic people-orientated individual to fill the position Social Development Coordinator. The Social Development Coordinator will play a key role in the daily operations of CCB’s Social Development Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Social Development Department;
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining departmental policies, protocols, and procedures;
- Maintain organized and accessible document control systems;
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of standard operating procedures within the Social Development Department;
- Track compliance requirements, deadlines, and reporting deliverables;
- Support contract tracking and administration for social development service providers and external consultants.
- Compile and maintain data for funding applications, reports, and renewal submissions.
- Monitor program budgets, invoice processing, and financial record-keeping.
- Maintain documentation to support audits, compliance checks, and funding reviews.
- Responsible for managing administrative systems, documentation, and workflow improvements independently.
- Other duties/tasks as required and as assigned
KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships;
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work with people from various backgrounds;
- Conflict resolution skills;
- Able to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision as well as working within a collaborative team framework;
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize;
- Understanding of Indigenous systems, funding models, and community protocols is an asset.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Indigenous studies, Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Community Services or a related field;
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in a social work, Indigenous, or government organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience developing and maintaining policies and procedures in a regulated setting.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check
- Class 5 Drivers Licence
Salary Range: $26.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
Term: permanent (upon completion of probation)
Scope: Full Time, 35 Hour Per Week
