The District of Lillooet’s REC Centre Pool is a 6-lane, 25 metre, indoor pool with a diving board and slide. The REC Centre also features an arena, gymnasium, and weight room.

Nature and Scope of Work
Under the direction of the Manager of Recreation (Acting) or their designate, the Aquatic Supervisor is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Lillooet REC Centre Swimming Pool, including the provision of aquatic program services and the operation and maintenance of the facility pool. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, plant operations, instructor/lifeguard training, direct supervision of lifeguard staff, and the development and implementation of programs and events.
Position Status
This is a permanent, full-time position within CUPE Local 173. The current wage is $29.68 per hour. This position requires the successful completion of a criminal record check.

Required Abilities and Skills
• Knowledge of rules and regulations governing safety in a public pool
• Ability to lead and direct emergency response in the pool
• Ability to lead and direct pool programming
• Knowledge of pool filtration systems
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications
• Current National Lifeguard Award (Pool option)
• Current Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor
• CPR “C” with Auto External Defibrillation (current within 1 year)
• Standard First Aid or equivalent (current within 2 years)
• Pool Operators Level 1 certificate
