The District of Lillooet has a full time employment opportunity for the position of Aquatic Supervisor.

Nature and Scope of Work

Responsible for management and safety of swimming pool operations. Manages and schedules all pool staff; oversees staff training and evaluation; oversees and instructs swim lessons; oversees pool maintenance with facility staff.

Required Abilities and Skills

Successful candidate mist: Knowledge of rules and regulations governing safety in a public pool; the ability to lead and direct emergency response in the pool; ability to lean and direct pool programming; knowledge of pool filtration systems; strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Required Training and Experience

Aquatic Supervisor must possess and maintain the following certifications: National Lifeguard Award (Pool Option); Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor; Standard first aid current within 2 years and CPR 'C' current within 1 year; Pool Operators Level 1 certificate.

Position Status

Permanent Full Time. The wage is $29.678/hr. as per CUPE Collective Agreement, Local 173
